Countless plants withered.
But I don't look back. If I do, I won't be able to keep my sanity...
My name is Suzuki and I've been gardening as a hobby for 14 years.
This is a section that introduces only plants that we have actually grown.
This time we will introduce Bauhinia aureifolia, which has butterfly-shaped leaves.
What is Bauhinia aureifolia?
A creeping plant native to Thailand.
He loves the sun and humidity, making him a typical tropical jungle animal.
It produces white flowers, but it has never bloomed in my garden.
Maybe it's because there isn't enough sunlight.
Humidity is important
The most difficult thing about growing Bauhinia is controlling the humidity.
I grow it on the balcony from spring to autumn, but the tips of the leaves die due to lack of humidity.
However, too much humidity is not good either, as the leaves will melt.
It is extremely sensitive to cold, so it should be kept indoors in winter.
If you do not place the plant near a humidifier at this time, not only the tips but also the leaves will fall off.
Although not as much as begonias, it is still a plant that requires care.
It stretches, it stretches
It grows vigorously and the vines continue to grow.
When I brought it home it was about 20cm long.
I thought it would look a little more tree-like, but it's actually a completely creeping plant.
This type requires tailoring.

That's all, Editor-in-Chief.
