First, I will tell you the most standard method of draining water.
Prepare a bucket or tub of water and a pair of clean flower scissors.
Make sure your scissors are sharp enough to cut the stems without crushing them.
To drain the water, cut the stem diagonally cleanly 1-2cm from the bottom underwater.
That's all.
The reason for cutting the stem at an angle is that the cross-sectional area of the stem increases, allowing it to absorb more water.
It's a simple process that doesn't require any special tips.

Flowers suitable for draining
Gerberas, tulips, roses, etc.

By snapping the stems by hand instead of using scissors, the cross-sectional area of the stems increases, allowing them to soak up water better.
Hypericum stock, etc.
For branches with hard stems, use a mallet to hit the tips of the cut stems to loosen them. After loosening them, wash the tips with water before arranging them to prevent the water from getting dirty.
Hydrangeas, etc.
Split the stem diagonally and remove the white pith inside.

If the stem of a branch is too thick to cut, make a cross-shaped cut at the tip and split it.
