Easy way to water flowers at home

Fresh flowers are delivered three times a week from producers across the country.

We will introduce the "water-removal process" that florists perform after receiving fresh flowers, so that you can enjoy them in the most beautiful condition for as long as possible.

In fact, these are all simple methods that can also be used on fresh flowers that you have on display at home !
Please enjoy fresh flowers for as long as possible by taking care of them correctly.
First, I will tell you the most standard method of draining water.

Prepare a bucket or tub of water and a pair of clean flower scissors.
Make sure your scissors are sharp enough to cut the stems without crushing them.

To drain the water, cut the stem diagonally cleanly 1-2cm from the bottom underwater.

That's all.
The reason for cutting the stem at an angle is that the cross-sectional area of the stem increases, allowing it to absorb more water.
It's a simple process that doesn't require any special tips.
Just one thing!
Be careful not to cut your hands with sharp scissors.

Flowers suitable for draining

Gerberas, tulips, roses, etc.

Depending on the nature of the flowers, you may be able to enjoy them in beautiful condition for longer by taking an extra step beyond just draining the water.

Chrysanthemums, lisianthus, gentians, etc.

By snapping the stems by hand instead of using scissors, the cross-sectional area of the stems increases, allowing them to soak up water better.

Hypericum stock, etc.

For branches with hard stems, use a mallet to hit the tips of the cut stems to loosen them. After loosening them, wash the tips with water before arranging them to prevent the water from getting dirty.

Hydrangeas, etc.

Split the stem diagonally and remove the white pith inside.

Thick branches of cherry blossoms, and Japanese andromeda

If the stem of a branch is too thick to cut, make a cross-shaped cut at the tip and split it.
Enjoy beautiful fresh flowers for longer by using a water-extraction treatment that suits each flower's characteristics.
