This season has come again this year!
When you think of spring, the first thing that comes to mind is cherry blossoms.
This time, I would like to introduce a slightly unusual cherry blossom arrangement made with moss balls.
Picking Cherry Blossoms

Hanna's storefront is lined with a variety of cherry blossom moss balls.
Check the condition of the buds and find one with a tree shape that you like.
This time we will be welcoming the "October cherry blossoms"!
What kind of cherry blossoms will bloom?
What is October cherry blossom?

Upon investigation, I discovered that October cherry blossoms are actually two-season blooming cherry trees!
It blooms twice a year, in spring and autumn when the temperature is around 10°C.
Being able to see the cherry blossoms in autumn makes me feel like I've gotten a bargain (laughs).
How to care for moss balls: watering
Watering is recommended every 2-3 days, and once every 1-2 days in summer.
It depends on the environment where you place it,
If the moss feels dry and light when you hold it in your hand, it's time to water it.

Fill a bucket with water and immerse the moss ball in the water.
When the moss ball is dry, small bubbles will appear like this.
When the moss ball is dry, small bubbles will appear like this.
This is a sign that water is seeping into the moss ball!
Let it soak for a while until no more bubbles appear, then
Put it back on the plate.
How to care for moss balls - where to place them

The best location is outdoors in a well-ventilated area!
Cherry trees love sunlight, so place them in a sunny location.

Even if you enjoy it indoors, it is recommended to limit it to a few days.
After enjoying it for 2-3 days, return it to the sunshine outside.
And good ventilation is also an important point for kokedama!
Keeping the moss ball indoors will help it to steam up.
This can cause root rot and mold... so sad (tears)
Even outdoors, it's safe to place it on a shelf or in a well-ventilated place.
Although this winter has been warm, the cherry blossoms in February have hard buds.
It doesn't look like it's going to bloom yet.
This year, outdoors in this location
I would like to keep an eye on it until it blooms.
See you again when the cherry blossoms bloom.
