5 recommended Halloween decorations!
It's still hot and humid, but the sun is setting much earlier now.
With autumn in the air these days, I'm looking forward to Halloween, which comes on October 31st.
Leaving aside the origins of Halloween for now, we'd like to introduce some recommended items for enjoying Halloween at home!
1. Pumpkin
After all, when you think of Halloween, you think of pumpkins!
The harvest festival that became the origin of Halloween used turnips, and pumpkins were used as a substitute.
The orange pumpkin ghost, "Jack-o'-lantern," is a classic!
2. Spider web
Dressing up as ghosts and witches is becoming more common in Japan.
This costume was originally meant to protect people from the evil spirits that would come around Halloween.
Apparently they dressed up like the monsters to make people mistake them for their friends.
Now, this tradition has merged into "trick or treat," where children visit their neighbors to get candy.
Spider webs are a common image associated with mansions inhabited by scary ghosts, witches, and demons.
Decorate your home with spider webs to turn it into a Haunted Mansion! This will also get your kids in the Halloween spirit!
3. Pampas grass
Halloween originated as a harvest festival, so create a seasonal feel by using autumn flowers!
In autumn, we recommend pampas grass, which is very popular at weddings. It is also effective for creating a more mature Halloween look.
Its large, fluffy spikes resemble those of Japanese silver grass, creating a seasonal atmosphere full of autumn colors.
4. Orange and purple flowers If you feel like something is missing even after putting together all the accessories and miscellaneous items, we recommend incorporating flowers as an accent.

5. Black satin fabric: Black is an easy color to use to create a Halloween feel. It's also a color that evokes Halloween characters like witches, bats, and spiders. We recommend a shiny satin fabric, which also makes the orange stand out!
