How to Grow Houseplants

[Scientific name] Ficus Bjamina Starlight
[Family name] Moraceae
[Genus name] Ficus
[Place of Origin] India, Southeast Asia, etc.
[Flower language] "Eternal love", "Friendship", etc.
[How to grow]
▼Placement
This plant is a member of the rubber tree family and loves the sun. Its leaves will grow and its color will be more beautiful if it receives plenty of light. It should be placed in a well-ventilated, sunny location. During the hot months of July and August, direct sunlight can cause leaf scorch, so shade is necessary.
It is sensitive to cold and may lose its leaves if the temperature drops below 5°C. In winter, it is safer to move it to a window or entrance where fresh air can enter, even if only at night.

▼Watering
It does not like high humidity, so water it when it is slightly dry. From April to October, water it only after the surface soil has completely dried. Mist the exposed trunk part. From November onwards, when it starts to get cold, try to water it sparingly. Water it only after the soil has completely dried all the way to the centre.

▼Other points
Because the plant has many leaves, scale insects and spider mites can appear even in well-ventilated areas. In warm weather, frequent misting or showering can help prevent this. It's important to spray water all the way down to the undersides of the leaves.

▼Fertilizer
Fertilize from April to October. Either liquid or slow-release fertilizer is fine. Do not fertilize on summer days when temperatures approach 35°C, as fertilizer will damage the roots.
