How to Grow Houseplants

[Care Instructions] Grow it in a sunny location all year round. Be careful not to expose the leaves to direct sunlight in midsummer, as this can cause leaf burn. Bugs can also infest the leaves and plant, so make sure the area is well ventilated and regularly water the top and bottom of the leaves.
Water thoroughly after the soil has dried.
It is not cold-hardy, so if the temperature drops below 15°C, bring it indoors if you have kept it outside.
It's okay not to fertilize. However, be careful not to overdo it, as it can cause fertilizer burn. It's safer to dilute liquid fertilizer more than the recommended dilution rate. Slow-release fertilizer is also recommended as it's easy to use.

《置き場所》
明るい場所で育てると引き締まった樹形になってくれます。
夏は窓辺に置くときはレース越しくらいの日差しで十分です。
直射日光は避けましょう。あまり強い日差しは葉焼けしてしまうので注意が必要です。

比較的に耐陰性はあります。
それでも日光が足りない環境では徒長して、ヒョロヒョロとひ弱な姿に…。
可能であれば昼間は日光浴をさせてあげるなど、時間帯によって置き場所を変えてあげましょう。

植物は適度な風があることで代謝がアップし、生育が良くなります。
土の乾燥を促すことで、根腐れを防ぐこともできます。
窓辺に置くときは、たまに窓を開けて風を通してあげてください。
サーキュレーターなどを使うときは、直接風をあてると強すぎるので注意しましょう。

《水やり》
土の表面がしっかり乾いてから水を上げます。水を与え過ぎると根腐れをして枯れてしまうので注意してください。
葉水も定期的にしましょう。冬は水の吸収量が減りますが、部屋が乾燥すると葉先が枯れてしまいます。
加湿器もプラスするとキレイな葉を保つことができます。

《肥料》
４月～１１月が肥料を与える時期の目安です。
与えすぎると徒長してしまったり、肥料ヤケすることがあります。
メーカーの容器にある表記よりも倍くらい薄めて与えて様子を見つつ、濃度をアップしていくと失敗を減らせます。
気温が35℃前後になる時期は植物も夏バテしていることがあるため、肥料は控えた方が安心です。

使うタイプは液肥、置き肥どちらでも大丈夫です。
